Jeff Jones
AI Showrunner. Film Director. Your creative partner from the first story conversation to the final cut.
You’ve spent years building a world readers care about. The next step deserves more than a montage of impressive images. It needs a screenplay with a dramatic spine, characters whose choices make sense, and a director who protects the emotional reason your audience turns the page.
I founded Storyforge Imaginarium to bring that work together: writing, character development, visual storytelling, AI production, editing, music, and sound. My role is to guide the show and deliver a coherent creative result.

Your book already has a world. Let’s find its screen language.
For authors, publishers, and authorized rights holders, I develop adaptations through collaboration. We start with what must survive the move from page to screen: the central conflict, the emotional promise, the relationships, and the moments readers would miss if they disappeared.
Then we work in visible stages. You review the direction before it becomes a full production commitment. We refine the treatment, script, characters, and selected scenes together, using each review to make the next decision clearer.
- Find the story: identify the dramatic spine and choose a feature, short, or episodic format.
- Build the script: shape scenes, dialogue, pacing, reveals, and emotional turns for the screen.
- Develop the characters: document motivations, contradictions, relationships, voices, and visual references in character bibles.
- Establish the world: build a universe bible, continuity rules, and season architecture where the project needs them.
- Make the story visible: direct approved scenes, concept trailers, and pitch assets through an iterative production and editorial process.
Ambition without the logistics of a conventional shoot
Fully generated sequences can be developed without booking physical locations, transporting a camera and lighting crew, or coordinating an on-set cast. That opens room to explore worlds and revise visual ideas that would otherwise require a new shoot.
The craft remains hands-on: directing performance, controlling continuity, selecting takes, shaping the edit, and finishing sound. We define the scope around the work your story needs, with clear fees and review milestones. Rights, approved likenesses, and delivery requirements remain part of production planning.
A creative technologist with a delivery discipline
My background spans interactive media, software, animation, and creative production. Contract assignments supporting Microsoft Research and Amazon/IMDb, along with senior interactive development at Aristocrat, taught me to turn creative intent into working experiences and communicate across technical and creative teams.
I earned a B.S. in Business at the University of Idaho with studies in Information Systems and Accounting, and graduated from Curious Refuge AI Film School. I previously earned the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner credential; although I no longer maintain that certification, its practices inform how I organize priorities, reviews, and delivery.
Original worlds in development
My own slate includes The Last Echo, Escape from Venus, and Fourth Watch, with story development spanning seasons one through three. I’m preparing book projects for planned Kindle and audiobook publication. These are works in development, not claims of books already available for sale.
Watch the Fourth Watch promotional trailer or explore the Storyforge Imaginarium YouTube channel, which I reserve primarily for Storyforge AI-first films. Some projects blend conventional camera footage with AI-generated material, but camera-shot work rarely appears there.
Captain Sharky: music, character, and rhythm
Captain Sharky is my DJ and artist name—and a recurring character identity in my films and stories. I create and release music across SoundCloud, Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music, alongside film scores and sound design. Explore my Apple Music artist profile, Spotify artist profile, and Amazon Music artist profile. You can also find Captain Sharky on SoundCloud; I’m mentioning the platform here without linking that profile. I’m also the creator of Afterglow Lounge, a monthly radio-podcast mix album series. Its mood follows what I’m feeling that month, often progressive house built around live instruments. Working across music and film keeps rhythm central to my directing: when to hold a shot, when a line needs silence, and when a scene has earned its release.
My personal YouTube channel is where I share camera-made hiking and travel films, drone videos, music videos, and real-estate videos. I keep that personal channel distinct from the Storyforge Imaginarium film showroom.
See my work and festival profile on FilmFreeway, and connect with me on LinkedIn.
Beyond the studio
I’m based in Meridian, Idaho. Hiking, snowboarding, and flying drones keep me close to landscapes, movement, and scale. I own and operate 208 Premier Real Estate, where I serve as Designated Broker. I have ranked among Idaho’s top 3% by MLS transaction count, including in 2023. Sellers can also explore my seller-focused flat-fee service at FlatFeeBoise.com. That work keeps me close to clear pricing, negotiation, and delivering what a client has been promised.
