Book-to-screen development
Turn Your Book into a Screen Story
Develop your novel into a movie script or television pilot with a clear dramatic structure, recognizable characters, and a world that holds together on screen. Storyforge Imaginarium offers collaborative development for authors, publishers, producers, and authorized rights holders, including teams developing bestselling books.
From manuscript to development package
1 · Adaptation assessment and treatment
Identify the central story, evaluate feature versus series format, and map what to preserve, combine, or change. Deliverables can include a written assessment, logline, adaptation map, and treatment.
2 · Screenplay development
Build a scene outline and develop a feature screenplay or pilot script. Agree on format, draft milestones, author feedback, and revision scope before writing begins.
3 · Character and universe bibles
Document character arcs, visual references, performance notes, world rules, chronology, season structure, and canon. Give collaborators a shared reference for writing and production.
4 · Cinematic pitch assets
Translate approved development into a concept trailer, selected cinematic sequences, or a visual pitch package. Scope these assets separately from the screenplay so each serves a clear purpose.
A paid engagement with clear boundaries
Start with a defined development phase. We agree on deliverables, fees, schedule, revision allowance, approval points, and permitted uses in writing. Full screenplay and series-development work is quoted to scope; trailer pricing does not automatically include those services.
Creative control through review milestones
Identify the source material’s essential themes and character commitments at the start. Review the treatment before drafting, and approve character references before generating sequences. AI supports development and visualization; editorial judgment and review remain part of the work.

- A short synopsis and the book’s genre.
- Your preferred format: feature, pilot, series, or promotional trailer.
- Your role as author, publisher, producer, or authorized rights holder.

Portfolio examples illustrate visual approaches; the presence of a book title does not imply that its author or publisher is a client or endorses Storyforge. Development services do not guarantee a studio sale or production financing.
